Joint Venture Breaks Ground on 90-Acre Commercial Property in Fort Myers, FL

MIAMI, July 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Realco-Greenwich, LLC, a joint venture of Greenwich Development and Realco Group, broke ground July 2, 2007 on Meridian Center, a mixed-use commercial development located in Ft. Myers, FL.

The 90-acre property is strategically located on Ben Hill Griffin Parkway, less than a half-mile from Southwest Florida International Airport and within three miles of Florida Gulf Coast University.

According to Greenwich CEO Ernesto Lopes, Phase I includes infrastructure development of the site, with an anticipated completion date of December 2007. "As the site work progresses, we'll start selling some of the commercial parcels available for development," Lopes noted.

Phase II of the project includes an estimated 600,000 to 700,000 square feet of office, retail, industrial and hotel space that Lopes said is currently in the master planning stages.

Meridian Center will be one of the first projects to be completed within the Ft. Myers Tradeport area, according to Lopes, and it is expected to be one of Southwest Florida's premier commercial developments.

"It's a great opportunity for Greenwich Development to join forces with one of Southwest Florida's most experienced developers, and it advances our plans for geographical diversification within the state of Florida."
